Spring is in the air—OK, it’s not really, but it’s been warm lately. It is however a great time to feature a gorgeous spring wedding with vintage style, held at the de Seversky Mansion. Now, it may seem as if we’re featuring a lot of weddings at the de Seversky Mansion, and it’s true, there have been more than a few blog posts featuring the mansion recently. But why not? The de Seversky Mansion is one of the NY metropolitan area’s premier wedding venues, and it’s easy to see why when you look at the historic mansion, the opulent grounds…yes, yes, you get it. And, not to mention, the de Seversky has the good taste to feature Bella Flowers as a preferred vendor.
One of the mansion’s most stunning features is its white marble entry hall complete with sweeping grand staircase. It’s the perfect place introduce your guests to the style of your wedding, such as with this vintage style urn arrangement.
The vintage feel is created with a cottage style arrangement of white, peach and blush peonies, fragrant white stock, dusty miller, spray roses, silver brunia, and the quintessential spring flower, cherry blossoms, cascading from the top. Sweet but also elegant: perfect for a modern (but vintage-style!) wedding.
The bride’s bouquet continues the soft vintage feel, with the same white and blush peonies, dusty miller and silver brunia, but with the addition of Café au lait dahlias and white spray roses and ranunculus.
The vintage-style bouquet beautifully sets off the bride’s delicate lace dress with sparkling details.
The groom’s boutonniere was made of silver brunia and a white spray rosebud with a touch of dusty miller. The maid of honor’s bouquet, however, incorporated more color than we’ve seen yet with Juliet garden roses and orange ranunculus, in addition to the same white peonies and white spray roses.
To continue the vintage theme, the reception table arrangements were placed in softly shining silver Revere bowls. Again, white and blush peonies were mixed with white stock, Dusty Miller, and silver brunia, with the addition of adorable peachy pink Ilse spray roses.
So if you’re planning a wedding at the mansion, or any other of the area’s amazing venues, give Bella Flowers a call at (631) 271-7050 to set up your appointment and be impressed with what we can do for you. And keep checking this space for more real weddings with floral design by Bella.
