All weddings are romantic—unless there’s a shotgun involved!—but some are just a bit more romantic. Is it the couple, the details, or is it the site?  I think in most cases it’s the combination of all of them, but mostly it has to do with the obvious love and joy of the couple on their wedding day. And some gorgeous flowers don’t hurt either.

This late summer wedding at the de Seversky Mansion had it all: a sumptous mansion site, sparkly dresses on everyone from the bride to the flower girl, and romantic, cottage garden-style bouquets and arrangements in delicate shades of ivory, blush and peach.

The bride’s bouquet was a beautiful arrangement of Dusty Miller, Juliet garden roses, ranunculus, feathery astilbe, dahlias, spray roses, stock, veronica…a veritable cottage garden in a bouquet. The attendants carried similar bouquets of orange spray roses, Juliet garden roses, ivory hydrangea, and white astilbe.

The outdoor ceremony was accented with white hydrangea and ivory ribbons along the aisle, and the ceremony site was decorated with white flowers delicately draped over a white arch.

The large staircase arrangement and the centerpieces were also gorgeous garden arrangements of orange spray roses, white hydrangea, campanula roses, orange hypericum, thistle, green mini hydrangea, and flat eucalyptus.
